Whispers in the Dark In shadows where laughter used to play, I gave my heart, but it slipped away. Each smile a promise, a fleeting dream, Yet I was just part of their little scheme. With words like honey, they drew me near, But left me empty, lost in my fear. I opened my soul, they took what they sought, And now I’m left with the battles I fought. Like whispers in the dark, they come and go, Fleeting connections, a painful show. I hoped for something real, something true, But all I found were girls who just flew. So here I stand, a heart full of ache, Learning the lessons that love tends to break. In the silence, I’ll mend what’s been torn, And find my strength in the scars I’ve worn.
