Oh, sweet deceiver cloaked in night,
Your laughter rings like daggers’ flight,
In whispered lies, my trust did bleed,
For what? A fickle heart’s misdeed.

You danced with shadows, hid the truth,
A serpent's charm masked shared youth.
Promised forever—oh, how you swayed,
Yet cast aside when your bets were laid.

Did you not see the ashes formed?
In our laughter’s echo, I was scorned.
You chased a ghost of fleeting glances,
While I stood still in foolish romances.

What of our dreams? Those painted skies?
Now shattered glass where hope once lies.
A bond that thrived on loyalty pure,
Now tainted by deceit's allure.

And as he turns with hollow gaze,
You've woven yourself in darker ways.
Love unrequited is a bitter jest—
Success for you; for me—failure's fest.

Now twisted roots of friendship severed,
By your soft words that never tethered.
Anger rises like a storm-tossed sea—
Forever marked by this treachery.

oh yeah this poem really for sure hits me hard! that feeling of betrayal and backstabbing so very relatable. especially the lines like *Your laughter rings like daggers* you captures those mix of anger and sadness so perfectly. i just freaking love how it use vivid imagery to show how trust can shatter. so overall, i will give this poem a 9/10 like it is really powerful!
