Shadows of Deceit In twilight’s hush, where whispers dwell, A heart concealed, a tale to tell. With silver words like silk they weave, Promises disguised, meant to deceive. Behind the mask of innocent grace, Lies tangled deep in a lover's embrace. A fleeting touch, secrets shared at night, Yet truth lies buried, out of sight. For every smile hides a jagged edge, Each caress is backed by a solemn pledge. Out in the open, they play their part— But storms of guilt break the sweetest heart. And in the end, when shadows clear, What once was bright now is steeped in fear. The price of trust—a fragile thread— Spun from the lies that were never said.
