Not true, please don't listen to this answer at all. It's complete nonsense Organelles are specialized structures in a cell that do different functions, kind of like everyone says "The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell" because it's function is to produce energy (ATP) through cellular respiration. There are a bunch of organelles that function together to make up the entire cells function.
