Miscellaneous is for academic questions without a subject to be posted in. Chatting can be done in the all subjects tab at the bottom of the screen, or in dms.

No, the post section is for academic questions. Those are the options available but if you don't feel like using them please don't chat with this section

Shadowkid3 is 100% correct. Socialization can be done in the public chats. There isn’t any chatting allowed in the subjects that we mainly use for academic use.
