Poem about Trust, written by Me: In the quiet corners of a faded room, Trust once bloomed bright, now wrapped in gloom. Whispers of promises linger in air, Echoes of laughter that once filled the chair. A fragile thread, once woven so tight, Now frays in the shadows, lost to the night. The weight of a secret, too heavy to hold, Turns warmth into silence, the heart into cold. Eyes that once sparkled with truth in their gaze, Now cast down in sorrow, trapped in a maze. Each word feels like glass, sharp and unkind, A fracture so deep, it echoes in mind. What was a sanctuary now crumbles away, As trust turns to ashes, too painful to stay. The ghost of connection haunts every sigh, In the absence of warmth, love learns to die. Yet still, in the remnants, a flicker may gleam, A lesson in heartache, a shadow of dream. For even in loss, there’s wisdom to find, That trust, once betrayed, reshapes the heart's mind.
