a lil story tehe

whyjustwhy:

It was a small island in the middle of the ocean. Only populated by one person. Kira. The small woman had short brown hair and narrow eyes. The ocean reflected in her hair as the breeze mixed the smells of the salty ocean and the leaves of the woods. She was a wild spirit. Nothing much to her except for being dirty and having only a small shirt and shorts to be covered with. It was near nightfall and the fireflies began to turn up and shine their small aura of light. She needed to walk back to what you would call a “shelter” but it's what kept her from the elements. It's not the best choice to live but where else could she do? The woodley creatures watched her as she walked slowly, making sure not to lose her footing on the uneven ground. The trees surrounded her and the soft whistle of the wind blew her hair into her face. As she walked she found one of her belongings that reminded her that she was human, a small doll. With its dirty body and round limbs and raggy hair. The button eyes glistened in the dim light as the sun set, slowly getting engulfed in the sea. She held her doll close to her body as her eyes adjusted to the dark. She found her small little hut made out of sticks, leaves, bark, and mud. She did the best of what she could and layed down on the cold damn ground. She never minded it and she used her arm as a pillow. The night sky acted as a nightlight for her. She softly closed her eyes and drifted away to sleep as the woods protected her. After all, she was only 15 years old. The sun rises slowly from its slumber, the warm rays of light hitting the girl in the face. She opened her eyes and she stared at the glistening sun and she propped herself on her elbows feeling the morning dew drip onto her. The cold dimly lit morning was just the start of they day. She stood up and left her small hut. The moist ground molded around her feet as she stood still as the col morning breeze blew across her. Her loose shirt flowing softly. Her groggy vision slowly returned to normal as she rubber her eyes and yawned. The fresh air filling her lungs and the soft pop of her back filled her ears. She looked around and started walking. The cold damp stones under her feet sent shivers up her spine. As she walked as the sun rose slowly, lighting up the island. She came close to a cliff and looked down to the shallow water below. She slowly and carefully climbed her way down. The rigid rocks molding her hands and the small pain of the stones scaping her feet as she climbed down. She jumped off the last couple feet and landed on her knees. The soft beach sand surrounding her hands and feet as she stood up. She slowly walked up to the water and stepped in it. The semi warm water splashed on her calves as she look at the horizon. The blue sky complimenting the dark blue sea. She continued to adventure into the sea. The water slowly rising to her knees up to her waist. Soon after a couple minutes the water was up to her chest. She softly jumped off the sea floor and let her body naturally rise up to the surface. She spread her arms and legs up as the water crossed her skin, washing off any dirt and grime that had clung to her. She closer her eyes and signed, the air traveling down her neck. The soft sun beamed on her. The sun traveled across the sky and she had been drifting for a while. She moves her body to touch the ground but was not able to find it. She softly balanced herself in the water as her legs kicked in the wate below, keeping her above the water. She looked around squinting for the island she lived on. Her eyes traveled to the island that was behind her. She was a great distance from it, after all she had spent about 3 hours leting the ocean move her where ever it felt like. She softly moved her arms and started swimming back to the shore. She soft feeling of the kelp graved her legs softly and the sun showed the sea life, the small crabs and the tropical fish swimming around. The water splashed on her neck and skin and softly soaked her hair. She made it to the shore and shook the remaining water off of her body. She walked back up to the woods. Her stomach growled softly and she looked around for something. Thinking to herself as she scanned the surroundings. She spotted a bush full of berries and some mushrooms that grew off the side of a tree. She had no knowledge of what she could ot couldent eat but she mentally logged what she could eat and what she couldn't and what she hadn't tried. She picked the berries and kept them in her hands as she picked a couple mushrooms and used them as a small bowl. The soft cream color contrasted to her light coffee toned skin. She walked back to her hut. Sitting on a log and eating the food she had picked her mind wonders to how she lived her life here. She had no knowledge of the real world, just the one she lived on. No other human to be on the island, no technology, no cars, no social media, no nothing. Just wilderness. Just her and the wild life was enough. The only threat to her was either the unpredictable wether due to the ocean around her. Or the possibility of starvation, but the woods provided her. And the possibility of just falling off the cliff or drowning. But she was always alert of her surroundings so basically had nothing to worry about. The wild life see’s her as one of them. Minding her own business and even sharing the fish she occasionally caught. She knew how to make fire, she knew how to survive. But the one thing she lacked was entertainment. But she always found how to make her own fun. She sat idly, thinking of what she could do. After a couple minutes she stood up and brushed off the dirt of her shirt. She walked around, picking up the soft yet crunchy leaves and some small twigs and some vines that had fallen off a tree. She took the supplies that she had collected and found her favorite tree and climbed up it. The smooth bark against her skin she placed the leafs, bark and vines in her lap and started making a small boat, the bark as the base and the twig as a holder for the leaf. The soft yes rough materials brushing on her fingers as she attached a sting to the small handmade boat. She leapt off the branch she was sitting on and held the small boat in her hands as she made her way to the ocean that she had previously swam in. she knelt down to the blue tinted water and released the boat into it. Watching it softly drift away. The vine that had attached to it was to make sure she did not lose it. She made her way into the water and stopped as the water met in the middle of her thighs. She watched the boat bounce with the waves and the rock she was standing on under the water shifted under her weight and she slipped into the water. Her whole body was engulfed in the water as she swam up. She splashed softly and frowned as she watched her boat softly sink into the water. She picked it up and sat it beside a rock as looked at it and knelt down and placed another rock beside it, somewhat protecting it. She felt the soft pinch of a crap nip the back of her ankle. With not much of an reaction she stood up and softly waved the crab away and made her way back to the water. She walked into the cold water and jumped in. a semi big splashed the sand as it absorbed the water. She smiles and plays in the water and her eyes are slightly irritated by the water. After a while of playing she stood up in the water and walked back to shore while panting. Her breaths were short and fast but slowly returned to normal, her face was red from exhaustion and her clothes dripping wet. She walked back to the small boat and picked it up. She brought it to her hut. She placed it among the other little creations she had made, all lined up in a line. She went and walked around. The water dripping off her clothes created a small trail and she found a small yet large tree. It was small compared to the rest of the trees that scraped the sky but big compared to a small human standing besides it. She climbed up and found a wide branch and layed down. She closed her eyes as the wind blew across her hair, drying it softly. Her clothes slowly dried as well, the water dripping down and creating a small puddle, no bigger than a hand. She layed peacefully as the trees provided shade for her and the sun keeping the island not too hot but also not cold either. Her chest slowly raised and fell as she took deep breaths. The whole thing felt like a dream. She could never complain.
