I reach for your hand
You pull away
"We're in public"
You'd always say

I felt so dumb,
How could I even try?
You told me everytime
Eventually I stopped trying

I looked in your eyes,
Black and dulle
My smile quickly left
As did all my friends

"He's bad for you. 
He hurts you"
They worried and I sighed
I love him! He's mine

I wrapped my arms around your neck
You pushed me, shoved
Didn't say anything, just looked disgusted
I was so hurt.
I couldn't even fake a smile

Where did he go?
The guy who bought me my favorite coffee?
The guy who held my hand across the street?
The guy who kissed my forehead?
He's gone.

He's not mine.
I could never be good enough
How could I even try
I love you amor
You always ask for more...

lol thank you my dad writes a lot too he has many published books and poem books I used to think poems HAD to rhyme yk? but they don't . I'm often scared to post my poems because I feel people might be like "that's rhyme there's hardly any rhyme" yk ??
