Why do teachers not teach us taxes, but think finding x is going to help in life?
cause they have no mind basically
WHY b/c truthfully at the end of math class it feels like your head is bombed
Good question
I get where you're coming from. It's true that understanding taxes and real-life financial skills are super important. However, I think the reason teachers focus on subjects like algebra is because they help develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Math is everywhere in our lives, even if it doesn’t always seem obvious
My school teaches you how to do taxes, get a job, get into college, write your resume, and all that stuff 😭
I got taught everything I needed to towards the end of my junior and start of my senior year. Assuming you're in a lower grade level as you're complaining of such reasoning, give it time.
bc that 'x' will be the only x u will have in life bc ur gonna stay single until the day u die u fattie x
I never understood that myself, however I guess everything comes in handy at some point.
yeah schools needa be teaching us stuff like that bro
half the stuff teachers teach is useless
fr
it depends on what classes you take. For example I took finance and we learned all on how to file taxes how to figure out how much to pay and all of that stuff.
I ask that question a lot idk the answer
cause that shi actually will help you to do your taxes lmao
Bc there gay
they do teach you taxes. you just need to apply what you've learned in class to these real world scenarios filing your taxes is mostly just questions of percentages and what-ifs?
because they don't really care what they teach as long as they get paid
A lot of the comments here just confuse me Teachers teach you about how to solve equations because that is their job and that's what they have to teach. Teachers also teach you about taxes and other things, and there are many classes offered about personal finance if you choose to take them (not sure what grade you're in though). You learn how to solve equations because it's useful in things in real life, such as calculating tax. As a matter of fact, I've used math as advanced as integrals in calculus in real situations (typically approximating area/volume of odd shapes). Math is a fundamental subject, without it you are at a serious disadvantage as you go into nearly any career. Your question would probably be better if phrased "Why isn't a class about taxes or personal finance a requirement in all schools" and my answer to you would be, I'm not entirely sure. It is just as important as requiring math in highschool. If I had to guess it would be a lack of teachers to teach such a class, or lack of funding for these classes. I do agree, teaching kids about taxes and personal finance is likely just as important, but in many districts is undervalued. I recommend taking a personal finance class in highschool, and possibly microeconomics if either are offered.
