what caused ww2 and how could it have been prevented?

kristen000021:

Germany's invasion of Poland in 1939 triggered declarations of war from France and the United Kingdom, formally starting World War II. But that event was only the final straw in a series of events. Various other economic and political challenges had been building up tension for years

darkknight:

Look into the history of the Treaty of Versailles, which marked the peace treaty of WW1 and see how it affected the German people. You will find that WW2 has a deep backstory that can trace back to however far you can claim through facts

KatelynGrace:

Wow I didn't know about half of that I don't like history to I guess on my tests out I pass almost all of them so cool

Nininiko:

Germany being Germany.

Ray11:

the armistice was sighned at the end of ww1 Which made Germany mad so they started ww2 if the armistice was not sighned mabey it would not happen

if they didn't have Germany pay for the damages each state caused there would have been no war, to begin with, recheck your facts before you start going off because this is merely a cause and effect reaction.

5StarRizz:

Blaming one nation for something they did due to what other states led them do is absurd.

ykbatman:

ww2 was caused by

ykbatman:

people attacking america

ykbatman:

and america fighting back

ykbatman:

coulda been prevented by not attacking america

Mainly the treaty of versailles putting all the blame on Germany post-WW1, they had all the reparations put onto them causing more instability. This created the platform for Hitler's campaign for power. There's many other events following this one, but this was what got the snowball rolling. The US learned from this and helped rebuild Japan in WW2, instead of making them do what germany did, which worked in preventing another totalitarian regime from rising there. Therefore, a better WW1 treaty would have likely prevented everything.

Gdub08:

Germany
