If my bf gave me a ring say it was a promise ring or an engagement ring no matter what it'll be special because you want to make a mends in our relationship and he took his time to find something special. I think the ring doesn't have to be expensive but if y'all really love each other the ring will be the 'best ring' if that makes sense.
