what is 3x+9=35

Strawberriesrgud7:

Ok, I'm not really going to give you the answer, but you could follow these steps: 1. Make a line down between the equal sign 2. box 3x so you remember not to include it (optional) 3. subtract 9 on both sides. 4. bring 3x down and the answer you got from subtracting 35 with 9 5. Now divide 3 on both sides. Whatever's left should be your answer, but if you get a decimal, simplify it and make it into a whole number. If I'm incorrect about this, please ask one of your friends or other people on here what the answer might be.
