this question comes up in my English class when we do reading articles and I wanted to know the public's views on this. "should phones be allowed in schools?" personally I say yes but what does the people of questioncove think?
yh i need my phone in school
um yeah they should
and when you have your phone you get more answers correct
A lot of people need to be able to contact their parents or stay in touch with people, it's become part of life. However especially in highschools, I think teachers should require them to be put in a sort of phone jail, due to all the fighting and drug distribution, it's much harder to coordinate things in school hours without a phone to text people and plan something. I think overall if you do this, the drug deals and kids leaving school to go to a fight decreases. Plus, if they really need to contact their parent they can do that in between class or just take their phone and explain the situation to their teacher. It's their right to property, however the nature of schools and the immaturity of students makes it so that it's not a great idea to let them freely use it. At least having strict teachers regarding phone policy would reduce a lot of the issues I think they bring. A soft teacher who doesn't deal with the issue is the problem, not the child.
Yes, I think phones should be allowed in school because we could use it to contact our friends and family that way. We could also text our parents about anything that's happening at school such as drills or anything, and even anything tragic that might be happening. We can also use our phones to listen to music during class so we're not that bored, and some teachers might even let you listen to music at certain times. During passing period or lunch, we could use our phones to keep ourselves occupied by playing games or watching videos with friends or by ourselves. Our phones can be usual during class, like we could use it as a calculator and we can use an ai app and take pictures of our math questions and just let the ai do the work for us, lol.
