I was given the theme of thinking youre in love, but its merely just a distraction. Heres my poem:

Lost in a haze, uncertain of what’s real
Emotions brewing, but are they ideal?
Caught in a storm of feelings so strong
Yet deep down, I know I'm in the wrong

Thinking of you all day and all night
Filling my thoughts with ideas so bright
But something feels off, an nagging doubt
Am I truly in love, or merely lost in this bout?

The way you bring me joy, the way you make me feel
It's like nothing I've ever experienced, it's so surreal
Yet I can’t dismiss this sense of unease
Is this love really, or just a brief tease?

I attempt to set these uncertainties aside
To embrace this sensation, this emotional ride
But underneath, I know the reality
I’m just sidetracked, lost in my youth's vitality

Desiring a love that’s genuine and pure
But settling for something that won’t endure
I don't wish to mislead you, to give you false hope
That what we share is more than just a moment to cope

So I will step away, take a deep breath
And confront the truth of this mess
I may feel as if I’m in love, but deep down I realize
It’s merely a distraction, a fleeting disguise

So I shall release this deceptive dream
And concentrate on what it genuinely means
To discover a love that’s authentic and right
Not just a temporary distraction during the night.

in my honest opinion, love could be many sorts of things, real, fake, or just stupid. But in most cases, it's stupid because merely half the generation doesn't grasp the truth of love they just claim to love someone based on looks that's not love that's another vague form of lust. People also claim to love someone but have the will to cheat (Not love if you ask me) and half this generation doesn't even know what love is they just claim they love someone for example the saying love at first sight,(many people will disagree but I can care less) It's just a saying people say to make someone like them. liking and loving someone are two different terms. And if you are just saying you love someone for someone to like you, That's not love that's greed.

I totally agree. I believe in old fashioned love, where you're head over heels in love, and you prove it. This generation's "love" is mostly lust. It's embarrassing.
