Yall know school doesn't really teach us about life just wants us to pass classes
School actually does teach you about life skills. They teach you about what to expect when you are at a job. Sure you may think math isn't teaching you anything, but you'll need math for almost everything in life outside of school. (Plus its pretty awesome when you can recall the civil war out of no where when talking to somebody)
All you need is chat gpt reddit and google. Your all good!
Both of the above points are quite valid. There's life skills that are learned / rewarded, such as waking up and being somewhere on time, handling a schedule / responsibilities, and applying oneself to the curriculum. At the same time there's a flaw in the system that many students can and are allowed to skirt by on just Googling stuff. Some evolution of the school system is ideal but the bureaucracy likes the status quo. The government doesn't really need a more able population, just one that works and generates GDP.
As long as they dont block chatgpt or venice ai we are good gang
Its always the simple copy and paste, no student now-a-days, read the answer that ChatGPT gives them. The answer is technically right in AI standards, its just the student that doesn't bother about relearning the topic that GPT just gave out to them.
School teaches you a lot. I never thought I would need these simple skills, but it turns out, I use them daily. Some stuff, I agree, is useless information, but school teaches you responsibility and self-discipline.
@xedwinx My post is actually a criticism of modern schooling. What you're mistaking for 'calling school good' is me simply outlining a few positives to school. It's valuable for a child to learn to be somewhere on time throughout the week, handling various responsibilities amidst a schedule, and applying themselves to course material. However, if students are able to get As in this system just by copying ChatGPT, then that is yet another indicator of how flawed the system is. In general I think school rewards students who show the appearance of having learned or memorized short term a given set of data, not actual learning. And besides those life skills I stated earlier, many curriculums fail to incorporate other necessary skills that are more important than precalc such as how to do taxes and manage a budget. School isn't great, but it's still decent if you apply yourself well.
I ain't reading all that
Then don't interact on a post where people are discussing a topic. Have a great day Edwin.
night u mean?
Sure
To be honest, I don't think school prepares us for our lives. our job is to technically obsorb all the knowledge they give us and scholarships and stuff to get a good position in society. I do agree that schools mostly care for students to pass classes because it makes them look good but I also think if we use the benefits were given. It wont matter their expectations for their students.
