Gdub08:

I just thought of something: If you have described something as indescribable, haven’t you already described it?

AddieroniAndCheese:

yes, it's a figure of speech lol.

thx

AddieroniAndCheese:

it's also a paradox and you could look at it as an oxymoron

I was tryna figure what figure of speech that was, too. thx.

AddieroniAndCheese:

lol, a paradox is something that can contradict it'self in an infinite loop. like take the phrase "I am lying right now" Are you lying that you are lying or are telling the truth, making you lie (bit of a headache). An oxymoron is when you use two words opposite of each other to describe something. That includes "you are stupidly smart"

AddieroniAndCheese:

a figure of speech is non literal but used for effect.

AddieroniAndCheese:

and that is your daily dose of speech vocab
