Hi there ! To begin, we should look at the subject here, political parties. It is important to know what one is. This is basically a group of people with similar ideological beliefs. Next we want to understand the democratic process as it plays a role in the way politics work. In a democratic process, like that of America, the citizens are able to vote for candidates they like in hopes of putting them into office. Now, when looking at our answer choices we can start with A, nominate candidates. This is going to be a function of a political party. The parties get to nominate candidates to run for a position of behalf of the party (such as Senator), so we can go ahead and eliminate that since we are looking for something political parties do NOT do. We can also look at option C and eliminate that as well. We are going to eliminate this option because it is the responsibility of the party to educate the public on their stance on political issues (such as healthcare, taxes, etc). This helps the voters determine who they are going to agree with more. Now, we are left with options B and D. Thinking back to our definition of a political party and a democratic system, do you have any ideas as to which option is something political parties do NOT do?
