turntechGodhead:

any tips for getting ready to be in a play? I'm a lead role in a school play on Friday, Saturday, and sunday, and we've only had a few weeks of rehearsals

Glorious:

Definitely practice your lines since you're doing the lead role. You wouldn't want to mess up the other members participating in the play because you forgot your part.

umm:

Best suggestion is to try your best! If you're able to, practice in your own free time. Remember, we all make mistakes. Take your time, don't rush. Ask other peers who are part of the play what you can improve on and ask for feedback! You got this. (:

Unforgettxble:

but don’t be the one blanking out on stage and don't forget to breathe because it's important and you may mess up a little but just roll with it and keep going so yeah that's my advice for you.

Gdub08:

Okay, first, memorize your script. Be sure you have it down before you even think about the play. Go over it as many times as you can, and practice w/ someone.

turntechGodhead:

everything is already memorized and i know all my lines, I'm just nervous to go on stage guys

Break a leg

sllo:

Don't lose your aura

AnnahTheGremlin:

If your nervous i would say just try things that make you calm. I don't have the best advice.

Lizzyyy:

idk but practice

CecePitbull:

I would say if your nervous, try practicing with someone your comfortable with and maybe two others you don't know very well. i would also say that if your nervous try having a LITTLE bit of music in one ear to calm you down.

foxey3:

I would say review your lines that you have problems with or that you feel like you're going to forget. Also, keep your playbook with you backstage so you can know when it's your queue to go on. I missed 3 scenes during the opening night because I didn't have them lol. But yeah. Just keep on practicing even if you think you are all good!

Thayes1287:

Congrats on landing the lead role! With only a few weeks of rehearsal, it’s important to focus on mastering your lines, understanding your character, and getting comfortable with the stage. Start by memorizing your lines as early as possible.
