Carbon dating doesn't work for dinosaur fossils because they are millions of years old, and the carbon in them has long since decayed. Carbon dating is only effective for objects up to about 50,000 years old.

carbon has a short halflife (the time it takes for half of the original content to decay) and this limits carbon dating to only be useful go something tens of thousands of years old (Max 50,000) so it's not an accurate way to determine the age of a fossil
