I think this is science.? How would God be real? The Bible says the Earth is 6,000 years old.. yet there's trees that are 9,000 years. There's so many things that point to him not being real..?

VaehVaehVaeh:

Okay, me personally, this is always just my opinion!! I do believe god is real, but I do also believe that everything the bible says is not true. I do believe parts of what the bible says but not everything!!.

No, not necessarily "missing parts," more of people adding their own beliefs into the bible. Think abt it, God didn't write the bible, Jesus didn't. But people did. Who says that those same peopledidn'tt add there own little twist to the bible..

Growing up wasn't the easiest for me. I lost both parents very young, I went through foster homes for a minute. There was a time I didn't believe in him.. and when things would get bad again I turned to him and I started to pray. Honestly life started to get better for me. Everyone has their own beliefs and I'm never one to judge because I don't like being judged for how I feel but I believe in him bc when all was wrong and I turned to him, life started to get better.

Listen, you do know how long ago he said that right-?

and plus, the people saying that the trees are 9000 years old are making a guess, we Really don't know if they go that old it's like saying the human body can live till 200yrs but that's just a assumption

crayonssz:

A lot of times in the Bible it says things such as "40 days and 40 nights" it doesn't mean literally 40 days and nights its essentially saying a "x" amount of time roughly around 40 days or so, and I would assume when it says 6,000 years it means that it was just a LOT of time, especially considering back when the Bible was written a year was a LOT of time for them. Probably just an exaggeration and not meant to be taken literally as a lot of things in the Bible are.

God is real because of peoples faith and studies of the bible.

Take into account the bible has the old testament and new testament. so your probably thinking about the old testament. Don't forget that was also recorded a long time ago so the earth is older now than during that time. Also God is indeed real. Who do u think created your entire family bloodline? Who do u think created the earth? If u read genesis chapter 1 it shows how God created the heavens and the earth. Hope this answers your question

is your bible a KJV, NIV, ect?

Limitless2:

The Bible itself does not explicitly state that the Earth is 6,000 years old; this belief stems from interpretations of the genealogical records in Genesis, most notably calculations made by Archbishop James Ussher which placed the creation date around 4004 BC

2hrs:

Science and God Are Not Opposed In Islam, science and faith go hand in hand. The Quran describes natural phenomena like the expanding universe (Quran 51:47) and the stages of embryonic development (Quran 23:12-14) long before modern science discovered them. This shows that true scientific discoveries align with God's creation rather than contradict it. 2. The Age of the Earth in Islam Unlike some interpretations of religious texts that claim the Earth is 6,000 years old, Islam does not give a specific number. The Quran describes creation in "days," but in Arabic, the word "yawm" (day) can mean a long period of time. This leaves room for scientific understanding, including the Earth's actual age of billions of years. 3. Signs of God’s Existence The complexity and precision of the universe point toward an intelligent Creator. The Quran states: "We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth." (Quran 41:53) Just like a perfectly designed phone needs an intelligent engineer, the universe—far more complex—points to a Creator.

Well, yes, actually, it does matter. The moderation team recently came to the conclusion that AI is not something that is allowed to be used to answer questions, as it kind of defeats the purpose of the whole site altogether, as well as keeping answers genuine and honest. (This applies to making posts in the writing channel iirc)

It’s a matter of faith. There is no pure evidence that god is indeed real But also science has its flaws. Carbon dating could be inaccurate just as many other factors of science that are believed to be true such as evolution. Me personally I do not believe the majority of science because they make estimated guesses about the past that cannot be factually proven. The Bible has had many historical events that point to the existence of a father in heaven, or at least a creator. Such as the universe for an example. The probabilities of the universes gravities of stars and planets to all align perfectly begs a creator. If you don’t believe in god and choose to believe in science then in my opinion your putting your faith in humanity and their abilities of understanding over a higher powers, which seems silly. If you are Christian do not question gods existence or authority but have faith that you trust in the one and true power of our lives

Bro gods real, bloodlines and trees and the earth don't js randomly appear out of nowhere. Obviously there's a creator in it all, even if the bible says that the earth is 9,000 years old or wtv js like ally said (I think it was ally) a lot of things in the bible were said to not to be taken literally but to either further help people understand or to js give a idea or something
