Math
You have a rectangular space that is 10 feet long and 6 feet wide. You plan to plant two types of flowers: roses and daisies. You want to plant a total of 30 flowers. Roses will take up more space, so you decide to plant 2 roses for every 3 daisies. Let R represent the number of roses and D represent the number of daisies. Write a system of equations based on the information provided. Solve the system of equations to find out how many roses and daisies you should plant.
So basically the total number of flowers you said is 30 and D = 30 - R
Next you wanna substitute D into the second equation like 3r=2(30−r) which turns to 3r=60−2r and you just combine the like terms like 3r+2r=60 and 3 plus 2 is 5 so 5r=60
Then you divide by 5 which is r=12 and this ends up being the end d=30−12=18 so you tell me what that means for your garden.
uhm 12 roses and 18 daisies?
Yeah
Oh thank you so much!
No problem 😏
