the USSR gained control of eastern Europe by creating communist Regimes like rigging the elections basically.

and also using the red army to create a buffer zone against the west

containment was helpful by containing the spread of communism, it was a helpful tactic used by the U.S but it hurt the USSR tho

in my opinion I don't think the west is still using containment, but it evolved from containment to more of a stronger form. bc just looking at the problem with the china and the U.S its like containment but not really.

1) I think there's like 8 but I'll do one, Albania since its a core member 2) Albania has a parliamentary republic which is when it is governed by unified state 3)they are wayyy different from the U.S, for example the U.S has a presidential system with a bicameral legislature
