gelphielvr:

when solving for a quadratic equation when the square root is like an uneven number for example the square root of 28 is 5.2915 do I keep it in square root form or do I use the 5.2915?

gelphielvr:

nevermind figured it out -

danielfootball123:

Keep the answer in simplified square root (radical) form (e.g., 2√7) unless the problem specifically requires a decimal approximation. Using the radical form provides the exact solution.
