What is the difference between Your and You're? I don't just need the difference I need examples

stvrfire:

Your technically means something that belongs to the person like "That's your book". For you're is a conjunction between you and are. An example of tht would be "You're going to the party." So the main difference is that "your" shows ownership or belonging, while "you're" indicates the verb "are" within a sentence

Nininiko:

You're is a constraction , You're = You are , "You're intellignat" , or You're tall , You're busy today , Your is a possessive adjetive , refers to something a person has or owns , for example: Your book , Your mother is tall , Your friends are here. things like that.

euphoriiic:

your nd you're

euphoriiic:

your stupidity is baffling you're stupid

Yosad930:

well. yeah the other people hit the main points, so not much i can add to it. you're is just a conjugated version of you are (yk, like can not into can't and all that) and its more of a descriptive term? like for locations, descriptions, kinda like spanish's ser and estar kinda thing. meaning "to be" and all that. (mwahaha my spanish 3 skills coming through!) so it'd be like "you're in greece?!" or "you're an amazing person" or "you're his brother!".

Yosad930:

and as for the your, its just the possesion i think. but a lotttt complicated. you cant say "your my friend"; that'd be "you're my friend" but then if its the other way around, then it'll work (yk, like "im your friend" but then u cant say "im you're friend") i dont even know what im yapping about lol english is a hard language. but oh well ik it more than chinese. but anyways so basically i think any 3rd person kinda possession works. like "lets go to YOUR house" or "is she YOUR dog" and as for the 2nd person, you gotta have it in a specific order? ahhh imma stop typing paragraphs now. save u some reading break lol

willowjade:

your hand is cold you're cold (your is a possession) (you're is you are)
