MAGABACK:

I ate today, and when I finished I took my pill (Doxycycline) and now my stomach feels horrible. Is there a way to make it stop from feeling like that?

SsTDOGRednek:

Drinking some milk might help.

Myst:

That seems to be a common side effect of the drug. I would take a guess and say it will go away soon.

More or less.

KnoxxyBoy:

idk, just drink water ig

Spectrum:

Maybe you ate too fast? If not just wait it out. If it gets worse take some tums, tylenol, and lay down for a bit.

SsTDOGRednek:

Drinking milk does sometimes help with feeling sick or heart burn. I just don't know if it'll work for you.

If you don't know, then don't answer.

Go to bed

cant cause Im in school rn for like 5 more hours

SsTDOGRednek:

Try eating too. You might not feel like it but sometimes that helps too.

Spectrum:

I recommend trying to do some deep breathing or using the bathroom, sometimes your stomach can be upset or hurt when you need to use the bathroom. Visit the nurse it gets worse or stays for longer. (I would wait about an hour.)

MAGABACK:

is there anything I can do rn? cause lunch is in 3 hours, I only have water, and no food. Im sitting down, and I had breakfast 3 hours ago

Go see the Nurse if the teacher will let you. That's not good in my opinion.

@myst wrote:

I've used it b4 for 3-6 months. using it again and been using it 2(ish) months

SsTDOGRednek:

Did you do any excercise right after you took the medication?

Spectrum:

I have to go, I hope you feel better though! (:

Myst:

I suggest going to your nurse as of today and if it continues then you should seek medical care. It IS a common side effect but that doesn't mean anything.

MAGABACK:

@sstdogrednek wrote:

nope. I exercise after school.

SsTDOGRednek:

Well atleast we can cross that off too. Are you supposed to eat or drink with the medicine?

MAGABACK:

@sstdogrednek wrote:

yes. eat and plenty of water. I did both

SsTDOGRednek:

Maybe you just digested the medication wrong. Apparently It is a common symptom from taking the medicine. So it's not just you. Could be a lot of things

MAGABACK:

is drinking too much water a thing? while taking a medication?

SsTDOGRednek:

Not necessarily.

SsTDOGRednek:

Drinking too much water could make your stomach feel weird. Maybe that's the culprit.

Drinking too much water is a thing but I don’t think that’s the case (assuming you're not drinking more than 3 gallons in one sitting). My main suggestion would be to drink a bit of water as that could be the problem, waiting it out as it may be a side affect and normal, or go to the nurse and ask to lie down for a bit.

Then I’d suggest wait a bit longer maybe 10 or so minutes then if the problem persists if available ask if you can be picked up and taken home in case you need to be taken to a doctor so theres not much of a wait.

MAGABACK:

alr I'll try those things guys. ty ----closed question----

glomore600:
