World War II had many people, places, and events. Famous people of World War II include Adolf Hitler, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and Joseph Stalin, Erwin Rommel, and Dwight D. Eisenhower. France, Poland, the Soviet Union, North Africa, and Pacific Islands are locations where major conflicts took place during the war. The main key events of WWII include the Battle of Britain, the invasion of Poland, D-Day, Battle of Midway, and the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Germany use a tactic called the Blitzkrieg, the combined arms approach, and the strategic bombing campaigns employed by the Allies. Land battles featured amphibious assaults and island hopping in the Pacific, while sea battles involved U-boats and kamikaze attacks
