whyjustwhy:

how can a minor (me) admit themselfs to a mental health fasitilty

Twaylor:

step 1. walk in. 2. act chaotic. 3. or ask your parents

scarlettmiris:

If you are 16 years or older you will be able to admit yourself, if not you will need your parents to consent.

Twaylor:

i dont recommend though, i stayed there for 29 days. its not worth it.

whyjustwhy:

but i need help

CecePitbull:

if your comfortable, vaguely, could you share anything that might be wrong? parents, friends adhd depression??. if your not comfortable sharing that's okay, it really depends your age and state. but if you don't feel comfortable telling parents then talk to staff. it really depends where you are.

Stewart:

Well, what you want to do NOT hurt yourself because you will ACTUALLY END UP in a mental facility like how I did three times

okay, if you let staff know at your local mental hospital that you have been harming yourself, they pretty much just let you in. for my area they do at least lol.

Call 911

whyjustwhy:

i live in yuma and i have no way to get there because my grandparents wont drive me and my phone is from a parental company and my dad will track me everywhere

Wolfenstein208:

Ive been in a ward twice and the quickest way is to express your concern for your saftey to ur guardian that you trust or school or police and they can send you. Take care of yourself please.

Stewart:

here's actually why: In many states, a minor can't admit themselves to a mental hospital without parental or guardian consent, but there are exceptions. Generally, minors who are 13 years or older can admit themselves to a mental health facility without parental consent if the facility's professional staff agrees that inpatient treatment is necessary and no less restrictive setting is feasible.
