She just wanted to feel pretty. Sure she was called pretty by her parents. They kinda have to say that though. She might have been called pretty by the boys at school but their gaze never moves higher than her chest. She was called pretty by strangers on a screen but how would they know? They have never seen her in person. They only see what she wants them to see. They don’t see the scar on her chin from when she fell as a little girl. They don’t see the mark on her back that she’s had since she was born. They don’t see the little imperfections that she hates. They never see what she sees everyday

But those imperfections is what makes her whether it be the scar on the chin- or the scar down the back that's what makes her. HER so she shouldn't be afraid of it

Embrace the imperfections

honestly relatable and felt. You shouldn't feel afraid or bad about yourself, you need to embrace those imperfections, keep being who you are and never change anything about yourself.

damn gurl, dis is so like heart felt, da desire for somethin more den just shallow or meaningless compliments. I felt dat line about strangers only seeing what she wants them to see, its so true. we all have things we notice about ourselves dat no one else sees, and it can be hard to feel truly seen or understood. there's nothin meaningless about wanting to be pretty, its part of bein human.

yeah. I try to make the things I write sound relatable while also explaining how I feel. I write a lot of stuff like this.

This is super relatable, I know that other people don't always understand how someone can feel about themselves.
