Funeral Lace How can I prove the depth of my love for you, When words fall silent in its worth? Instead, I trace this blade's cold steel Across my vulnerable, unguarded breast For what could I devote to you, If not the treasure in my chest? As I carve into my heaving flesh, Quivering hands delving into myself Ripping free my core from strings, A pulse that only beats for you Before I kneel and give you my all, I wrap my heart in funeral lace As blood weeps through my hands; You are all I ever bled for With open palms and hollowed ribs, I beg of you, let this heart be yours For I gave you my soul's offering; May the bloodstains recall My every pain and suffering. Unwrap this bloodstained lace, Tell me I am eternally yours.
this is dark and so poetic its nice
