All hearts need to break


All cries need to let go
Let them be heard
Every fire has to burn
All waves need to crash
No matter how high they rise
Every Hurricane
Tornado and twisters need to carry
The broken pieces that wither
With time
Every heart
Every storm
No matter the day
Or the hour
Needs to break
To have the right pieces fit
And to make room for new embers
New tides and blue skies

All hearts need to break
Like all minds must snap
The same that all storms must pass
Structures need to shake
Where would the mountains be
Without earthquakes
Where would the blue skies be
If clouds never precipitate
How would trees dance
Without songs of wind to participate
Why trees and bushes need to ablaze
Without flames and lightning to burn
How those seeds take root in place
How would we ever learn
The other side with greener grass
Bluer skies and shattered reflections
See the glimmers in split glass
How would our souls move
If it wasn't for fate
How would we ever heal
If our hearts never break
