Poem of the day: We wait... The world is not a gentle place, Beneath its smile, a fractured face. The wind may whisper, soft and low, But hides the storm we’ve come to know. The streets wear masks of calm and grace, Yet danger lurks in every space. A careless word, a sideways glance— The fragile peace breaks by chance. We walk on glass with silent feet, Afraid of fire beneath the street. Not every door leads to a home, Some hide the claws beneath the chrome. And so, we wait—not out of fear, But for the signs to make things clear. The hush before a wave will break, The breath the archer doesn't take. We wait for eyes that truly see, For hands that heal, not seek to flee. We wait for days not edged in dread, For truth, not riddles spun instead. Not all that waits is lost or weak— Some silences are strength we seek. The world may burn, and skies may fall, But still we wait—and that is all.
