Immigrants struggled with assimilating into U.S society and faced Nativism

Laborers were suffering from unsafe working conditions

Major class divide, there was no middle class

Overconsumption of alcohol and increase in domestic violence.

Goals -

Expand Democracy . Initiative, Recall, Referendum , Womens Sufferage

Combat Politicial / Economic Corruption

I feel like I need to expand on goals but I cant think of anything else / (yes I'm going to add definitions to the Expand Democracy thing
