Should I have anxiety about later today when I leave school early, I have a drive time for driving today n I'm a little anxious about being behind a wheel what should I do to keep me from having an anxiety attack?
Take deep breathes, just focus more on the road and not the other drivers so much. Yes, driving is crazy at first but once you get the hang of it, you'll feel better. Don't freak yourself out about it. In the end you'll be okay. Just stay focused. You got this, okay?
Of course. You got this.
Stay focused and don't worry, it's all about mindset really
if I'm being honest, it gets hard to trust yourself when it feels like your life is in your own hands, I felt the same way the first time I used a bandsaw, the first step was instead of worrying about what could happen, I tried to focus on what was going on instead of what could happen, the best thing you can do is try to be incredibly aware of your surroundings, or at least have somebody supervising you when you're driving. when I started using something dangerous more often, I was able to get the hang of it without worrying too much. also remember that you were trained for this moment, that makes you already safe enough to be trusted to drive. I would just say don't do long expeditions. start driving in big open spaces before doing it a whole bunch of times. and remember that nothing bad is going to happen, even if you're scared something will. I get impulses that can make you do dangerous things (speaking from experience) but worry about what you were trained to do rather than what you're afraid of what could be happening. I hope this helps, I rant a lot.
Breathe. U got this
Having anxiety about an upcoming drive is a common and normal feeling, especially for new drivers or when you are not fully comfortable behind the wheel yet. Instead of viewing your anxiety as a sign of weakness, recognize it as a healthy response that can make you a more focused and cautious driver. You can prevent an anxiety attack by using calming techniques and preparing for your drive.
