October4:

“You Left Me With the Sky” You tore the sky in half that night, and left me staring at the wound. I hate you for it— for the silence you wrapped around your goodbye, for the ghost that moved into my chest and whispers your name when I try to sleep. You were supposed to stay. We were supposed to grow old and laugh at how we made it through everything. But you chose the dark— and I am left cursing your choice and loving you anyway. I hate that you’re gone. I hate that I still talk to you in empty rooms. I hate that I understand why. And if there’s a heaven, I hope you hear me screaming your name— not because I want you back, but because I wish you had stayed long enough to see that the light was coming.
