(not school related) What does a non religious person do during the pre game prayer? Should they wait on the side or should they join the prayer?

MAGABACK:
Join the prayer. If the team does it, you do it. That's the atmosphere, and you got to be apart of it.
Keyla:
stand on the side. Respect your beliefs, other people shouldn´t judge you for your beliefs.
gelphielvr:
I agree with Keyla. I don't see the point in joining a prayer circle if I'm not religious
Keyla:
Yes exactly also that could be considered disrespectful to others or even the religion yk for you to join something just because they all are doing it
MAGABACK:
and r u saying ur apart of that team, or is it a prayer and ur on the bleachers?

I'm apart of the team. Before every game they do a prayer circle with the team members

I honestly dk . they just hold hands and pray for everyone's well being and that whatever happens is apart of gods plan and that God should protect everybody. I'm not religious so I have no idea what any of that means

I think it's disrespectful if you don't join in. It's a team thing, and if you do everything else w the team, then u should do that too.
MrMystery:
You don't have to believe anything they say, heck you don't even have to be fully in it, but if it's something the whole team does, and you consider yourself part of that team, join in, it's ok to pretend for the sake of the team
Keyla:
Honestly people are making valid ish points , if it bothers you maybe talk to the coach ask him if its okay that you dont do it. If not then just do whatever makes YOU comfortable, thats the important part.
