I wake to shadows, heavy days, A world that feels like a worn-out play, Each smile a mask, each laugh a sound, Nothing real, just echoes around. Time ticks slower, like a weary clock, Moments drag on, each tick a mock. Conversations fade, they lose their weight, I wear the burden of unseen fate. Friends drift apart, like leaves in the breeze, Fights spark and flicker, never to cease. Am I the reason for shifting tides? In every glance, a truth that hides. Tired of battles that wash me gray, Life feels like a game that’s lost its way. I fear the dawn brings a darker hue, With each passing day, it’s hard to break through. Hope feels distant, like stars in the night, A flicker of warmth, but never quite right. Will the loneliness ever subside? Or grow even deeper, a relentless tide? I breathe in the silence, the weight of despair, Wonder if someone will notice I’m there. As the world spins on, I cling to a dream, That someday I’ll rise, and the struggle won’t seem.
