It’s 2 a.m. and my brain has decided to replay that one night my boyfriend called me whispering, “Baaaabe, it’s snowing, come outside right now.” And because I am apparently the easiest person on earth to trick. I jumped up like some kind of confused winter fairy, threw on the first hoodie I saw, and ran outside fully expecting a Hallmark movie blizzard. But no. Not a single snowflake. Not even a suspicious looking cloud. Just me, standing in the cold, blinking at the sky like a broken weather app. I was literally about to start questioning global warming when THIS MAN pops out from behind a car with the biggest grin on his face like, “SURPRISE!” And the worst part? I wasn’t even mad. I just melted (emotionally AND physically because it was freezing). He hugged me so hard I forgot I’d been scammed. Like sir… you lied to me, dragged me outside at an ungodly hour, and still somehow made it adorable? Rude.
