Nina001:

bro I bee seeing this poem what does it mean?

Nina001:

Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay.

randogirl123:

aww, This poem is just taking bout the purest things in life, and can talk bout the loss of innocence or beauty. For me I think of this poem as Golden hour

it was a poem used in The outsiders but I don't know what It means

Nina001:

@forgetmylife ?

forgetmylife:

the poem emphasizes that nothing lasts forever The beauty of youth, innocence, and the natural world is transient. The final line, Nothing gold can stay, captures this poignant truth about the fleeting nature of life.
