i'm going to be graduating in 2028, and i thought i had my plan for after high school figured out. But i've been thinking about it a lot lately.
My plan:
1. Get my bachelors in sociology and psychology
2. Apply for police field
3. Police Academy
4. 2-3 years of police work
5. USMC/ Arforce or Army(maybe)
6. Apply for FBI and do the physical and written test and pass secret security
7. If i pass the test, then i go to the Quantico FBI Academy do my training
8. once i'm done with training i either choose were i wanna go, or they will station me where i need to be
Other plan(s)
1. Just military
2. Mental Health therapist
3. CPS working (aka Social worker)
4. MHT
5. Physiatrist
idk guys....i'm really struggling. cuz alot of ppl r saying i'd be a good social working because of what i've been through and how well i talk to ppl. but there are sm options...i just wanna be successful

So what u have is pretty good, i think u should also look for colleges u want to go to if u haven't already which gives u all certifications. Learning phycology is smart aswell, u are bound to be successful if u follow ur plan

I appreciate the feedback. A lot of people don't have the plan after high school figured out until they experience things, but once you find what you're passionate about you'll be set. there are sm successful people who have done sm different things to find what they love.

try not to think negatively, like i told daze you don't have to have a plan when you graduate, it does take time! experience things, learn new things. find thinks you enjoy doing, do research, again things take time.

No i get that completely! i feel the same way, but in the long run they would only want what's best for you. whether you're a nurse or a therapist you're still helping people!! don't worry about thinking you're going to disappoint your parents, i get it completely. always wanting your parents approval. but you do what you're passionate about, do what makes you happy! if they see you're achieving your dreams and goals they'll be happy for you if they truely care and love you!

of course! i understand what you're saying! i'm constantly trying to make my step dad proud because he's the only person i have left. I'm in a Military program, i'm a Battalion commander, but even that's not good enough for him. so i'm just doing it for myself at this point.

I'd love to help you!, and see you seem to have a few things planned out! like i've told my boyfriend, you dont have to be a nurse is that not something YOU wanna do. you do what you want to do, not what others want you to do. if you want to be a therapist because you want to help people and because you understand then you do that! don't ever let anyone tell you what you're capable. yes, that's why i wanna get my sociology and psychology degree, becuase it'll help with police work and if i choose to be a therapist. i know damn well you'll be an amazing therapist.

No i get that completely! i feel the same way, but in the long run they would only want what's best for you. whether you're a nurse or a therapist you're still helping people!! don't worry about thinking you're going to disappoint your parents, i get it completely. always wanting your parents approval. but you do what you're passionate about, do what makes you happy! if they see you're achieving your dreams and goals they'll be happy for you if they truely care and love you!

of course! i understand what you're saying! i'm constantly trying to make my step dad proud because he's the only person i have left. I'm in a Military program, i'm a Battalion commander, but even that's not good enough for him. so i'm just doing it for myself at this point.
