Rot in Plain Sight Why is this world so sick with lies, cheating wrapped in pretty alibis? Love is used, then tossed aside, no shame, no guilt just swollen pride. Why do guys see bodies first, like girls exist to quench their thirst? Not hearts, not souls, not shattered trust just flesh to touch, then leave in dust. Why do creeps breathe too damn close, staring like we’re something they own? Turning streets into cages of fear, making it clear we’re not safe here. Everyone sins, then calls it fate, breaks our hearts and says “too late.” No morals left, no lines to cross, human decency already lost. Can’t you live right? Or is that dead? Is using people all you’ve ever fed? We scream in silence, raw and tight surrounded by wrong, starving for right.

Wow! this is amazing!!! really put your heart into this poem, it really speaks to the world we call "home" nowadays people choose lust over love, it's not about genuinely loving someone anymore, it's about the body count unfortunately. The world is a horrible place, especially because of the unfortunately horrible people in it. Again, amazing job. I can tell you relate to this because of how well written it is. Keep being amazing!

Thank you so much for taking the time to really read and understand it. I wrote this from a place of a lot of frustration, hurt, and honesty, It’s sad how common this has become, how love feels replaced by convenience and bodies instead of real connection.

Of course, it's important for people to know that their art is being heart yk? and yes, it's very sad how common it is. It's hard to find genuine love nowadays and it's saddening. I'm lucky to have a significant other who wants the same things as i do in a relationship. We are both two people who come from a hurt and broken family, and we've both made it a priority in our relationship to understand and know the values of a healthy relationship. Yes lust is okay in relationships, but it's not something that should be normalized and abused as much as it is. No one really gets to know a person before even trying to get a new body. I got the opportunity to really get to know my partner, i honestly never though i'd even be with him. We instantly clicked when we met this year, became really really close good friends, and started talking after we both got our hearts broken by both of our ex's. We sat down and had a conversation about what we needed and wanted in a relationship, and we came to the conclusion that we both want and need the same thing. it was almost like a listen and we don't judge situation. Overall, your poem was phenomenal. The wording was excellent in a not so excellent topic.
