this one is called "every little argument" Every raised voice feels like goodbye, like doors slamming in houses I don’t live in anymore. My chest tightens over tiny things a sigh, a pause, a “we need to talk” and suddenly I’m back in old stories where love always meant leaving. You say, “It’s just a small argument,” but my mind turns whispers into earthquakes. I replay every word we said like I’m searching for the crack where you might decide I’m too much, too quiet, too emotional, too anything. You reach for my hand and I almost flinch not because I don’t trust you, but because I remember all the times “I’m not going anywhere” meant “I’m already halfway gone.” I’m scared of losing you over a misunderstanding, a bad day, a wrong tone. I’m scared that one wrong step will send you walking out of my life like the rest of them. But then you stay. You listen when my voice shakes. You say, “We can be mad and still be okay.” You remind me that love doesn’t have to end in ruins. So I’m learning to breathe through the little storms, to believe that a fight isn’t the same as farewell, and that maybe this time, when I say “I’m scared to lose you,” you’ll answer, “I’m not planning on going anywhere.”
