I am working on my art class, but I was wondering if I am shading, is charcoal pencil able to be used along with the shading paper pencil?

pencil would be better and a charcoal for shawding

I think the pencil would be better to plus charcoal l for shading

Use the pencil for the first start and if the shading isn't too ur liking add some of the charcoal for more of a shady look.
