first thing I do is I sort my notes by each topic then one by one I read over each topic multiple times until I can answer each question without looking at the papers helps me everytime also make sure to highlight the most important key details

Quiet room.  Turn off ALL distractions.  Couple snacks and drinks.  FOCUS.  Highlight, review, organize, and repeat with the areas you are struggling.  Surprisingly, the first 4 things are the MOST important.  Without those, the rest is just for show.
