you said you changed, but your lies stayed the same. father, when will you finally learn? every promise you make leaves another scar. you don’t just hurt people you leave them wondering why they were never enough. when will you stop hurting your own family? or were we always just something you could walk away from? you said you wanted to come back. said you missed us. said you wanted to be a family again. but the truth keeps finding its way out, and it always looks like her. the same person you chose over my mother. the same wound you keep reopening and calling a mistake. do not tell me you love her. do not pretend this is regret. I saw the message. “I’m still in love with you.” those words did more damage than your absence ever could. stop lying. stop pretending effort erases harm. stop reaching for what you already destroyed. you cannot rebuild trust with the hands that broke it. you cannot return to a place you abandoned. some things do not heal. some people do not come back. and you lost this family long before you said goodbye.
thanks guys

I love this poem, it shows how people say they change but on the inside they still have dark and old hearts
