Yet memories hold your gentle face. Our hearts, once woven, now apart, A lingering ache within my heart. You are the dream I cannot keep, The waking thought, the soul asleep. Though hands cannot touch, nor voices call, I love you still, through it all. The paths diverge, the moments bend, A broken tale, a sudden end. Yet, in the quiet, in the air, I feel your spirit, ever there. Though oceans roar and seasons turn, Your love remains, a steady burn. The sweetest love that I have known, Will haunt the heart, though I’m alone.
