Crazy how people move on
like you were just a chapter,
like closing the book
didn’t cost them anything after.

Like your name doesn’t echo,
like your voice doesn’t stay,
like everything you built together
can just fade away.

They smile like nothing happened,
like hearts don’t bruise or bend,
like “forever” was just a word
they didn’t really mean to defend.

And then they’re with someone new
not for love, just to replace,
like filling empty silence
with a different face.

Like I was something
they had to erase,
so they found somebody else
to take my place.

But what hurts the most
is not even seeing them move on
it’s wondering if they ran to someone else
just to prove I was gone.

Did I mean nothing?
Was I that easy to forget?
Or are they trying to outrun
feelings they haven’t faced yet?

Because if you really didn’t care,
you wouldn’t need someone new
to help you pretend
you don’t still think about me too.

Yo jazzy, why does this hit hard? Like I literally had a flush feeling and just a wave of emotions. This is very well written jazzy and i would say this pertains to the brokenhearted like I low-key want to cry for some reason and I know the reason why. Nice writing jazzy💞
