I'm interested in becoming a 911 dispatcher but have no idea where to start. Does anybody know where I should go or what website I should visit to get started?

that’s a heavy career choice, but respect for wanting to do it. usually, you have to be at least 18 or 21 depending on the state. best place to start is checking your local county’s government website under 'emergency communications' or 'public safety.' they usually list the specific certifications you need there. good luck with it.

I was able to find information I need on my county's website. Right now I'm looking into certifications and other things I need to earn a position as a dispatcher.

I am considering the risk factor as well, but I really want this.
