In shadows deep, where silence dwells, A weary heart, in whispered spells, The days bleed gray, the nights are long, In tangled thoughts, I drift along. Each passing moment, heavy like stone, A hollow echo, I walk alone, The colors fade, the laughter chills, As numbness wraps what once had thrills. Yet in the dusk, a flicker glows, A fragile spark, the warmth it shows, A fleeting smile, a gentle touch, In this dark world, it means so much. But in my fear, I sense the drift, That tiny light, it feels a rift, A thread so thin, it frays and tugs, And with each breath, I feel it shrugs. Oh solace found in eyes so bright, Yet grasping hands can’t hold too tight, I fight the pull of endless night, While yearning for that guiding light. So here I stand, lost yet awake, In shadows thick, for love’s own sake, I’ll cherish every fleeting gleam, As hope slips soft, yet lingers dream.
This is actually so inspiring, I am working on my own poem as we speak, this gives me some motivation! Keep up the good work.
