The first reason why people misunderstand about STIs is that you can get them the very first time you have sex. People think you can get it from having many partners, but that's only partially correct. The second one is that you can get the viruses from oral sex, and also be transferred from any type of sexual contact. The last fact that people mostly misunderstand is that, if I had an STI, I would know. But most STIs do not have any symptoms under further notice.
