how do I make my candy harder? is it the cook time, sugar amount, water amount, or the corn syrup? also does corn starch work to make the pieces not stick together?

You gotta cook it to a higher temp which would get it to a 'hard crack' stage and yeah corn starch works for like gummies or jelly stuff so they don't stick
ty, tryna fold some air bubbles in the brick of candy before i shape it so the texture is better / more roughish, had this happen the first time i made candy and my grandpa said it was "genuinely the best hard candy he's ever had, no cap" and now i need to remake it and i didnt write it down :sob:
